We had already worked with Nebula producing monthly blog content and ad-hoc copywriting support. Because we knew the client so well, a short briefing meeting to understand the structure of the website was all that was necessary to get started. We already knew their objectives and tone of voice. As we arrived at more technical areas, the client provided us with briefing notes so we could navigate the topics.
Collaborating with a web developer
Nebula has an award-winning in-house web development agency called Peak, and we actively collaborated with them through the process. With our existing knowledge of the client, and reinforced with conversations during the project, we carefully tailored the messaging to the target audience. Many readers would likely have little specialist IT knowledge. So we were careful to explain any jargon and make the content as accessible as possible.
The copy was produced to the agreed timescale and while the client had time to review from a technical and tonal perspective, very few amendments were required. Since the site went live, we have continued to work with Nebula, producing more content than ever. They use this to keep in touch with and provide valuable information to their ever-expanding client base.
A happy client and continuing relationship
With further collaborations in the pipeline, the team at Nebula IT were delighted with the written content for their new-look website. Referring to their work alongside On Point, Chris Pottrell, managing director at Nebula IT, commented:
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the hard work that the On Point team have put in with all of our marketing material and website content.
You listened to what we are trying to accomplish with our copy and you were able to put down on paper exactly the message we were trying to relate to our current and potential clients.
Pulling out a clear message from a lot of IT industry jargon is an accomplishment and you have managed it every time
