Making announcements effectively
If you want to get a message out there directly, a press release, or press release style blog post, is an effective way to do so. This may be:
- News of an award win
- Introducing a new product
- Announcing an acquisition
- Providing commentary on a news story
Nowadays businesses will often start by self-publishing press releases on their own blog. They can then distribute to key audiences via email and social media. Some are still sent to a network of media editors as has been more traditionally the case, and this is perfectly valid.
Our process for creating a press release
Via a face-to-face client meeting, email exchange or phone consultation we will collect all the information we need for your press release. When we have everything we need to start writing, we will carefully look at relevant information relating to your story, including what you are hoping to achieve. Is it just announcing information or do you want to be asked for comment in a newspaper for example?
We will write up the press release considering all the audiences that may read it. This is often more complicated in a press release than a blog post. You may need to consider editors, wider readership, your employees and your existing clients for instance. Every client is different, so we will always take each element of your proposition into consideration.
As our standard service, we will deliver your press release to you as a Word document for you to publish and distribute as you wish. If you would like us to do this for you through digital marketing channels, we can do this at an extra cost. If required, we can even arrange a full media service through trusted associates.
